WHY ORGANIC AND ETHICAL CLOTHING?

Great question!  In short, because it is the right thing to do.  We wanted to wear something we not only felt comfortable in but something we believed in.  We looked for affordable ethical clothing and it was nearly impossible to find.  So we thought let's make it happen.  This is how ELE was born.  So here we are bringing it to you.   More and more people like us are becoming Conscious Consumers.  The kind of person who likes to think about what went into making a product, bringing it to market and the effect or costs it had on the Earth and its Earthlings along the way.  

Too often people go into big box stores to buy cheap clothes and don't give a second thought on what it took to make it.  It takes real people to grow the cotton and manufacture the clothes we wear and we believe they deserve the rights and freedoms that we enjoy.  Don't you?   

NOTES ON BEING ORGANIC AND ETHICAL

All our garments are Organic.  That means no nasty pesticides - it's good for you and for the workers and their families.

Our clothing are fair trade.  We want any workers involved in the production of our clothing to be fairly paid, fairly treated and have a good quality of life.  Why would we want anything less?

We are a Vegan Company.  This means we do not support the exploitation or killing of animals for the sake of humans.  Hence we do not eat or wear animal products and do our best to avoid them in all aspects of our lives.

We are N.Z. owned and operated.  We try and source goods and services in N.Z. where possible including our own neighbourhood. 

We are a Social Company.  Every time you buy ELE we donate to a non-profit organization that is doing good.  We believe all companies should be!  We are all about Everybody loving Everybody and Everybody loving Earth. 

WHO IS TEAM E.L.E?

We currently are a team of four Earthlings (two human, two canine) but also collaborate with like-minded people on projects.  One day we will employ more Earthlings.  We operate from our home office, in Lower Hutt, New Zealand, Planet Earth.  If you are keen to collaborate with us, no matter where you are, get in touch!  We would be keen to meet you and your ideas.
